We tested numerous TV Boxes and some 4K capable, but the Xiaomi’s Mi Box is at the moment the cheapest one with 4K HDR compatibility. It has many features like a voice controlled remote, a great fast processor and the ability to use Google Cast. Although it has many upsides, the Box, unfortunately, comes with some downsides as well. Thanks to Gearbest who offered us the ability to review the Xiaomi’s Mi Box.

Xiaomi Mi TV Box – Operating
The operating system runs smoothly from the beginning, you will just have to select the right language. Because with the pre-installed wifi and registration to the play store you could use the Android TV Box instantly.
It has various pre-installed apps like Netflix, Hulu, Sling TV, Playstation, HBO, Showtime, Crackle and several others. A few I missed and which were impossible to install; Amazon Video, NBC, Horizon GO. The built-in Google Cast support works perfectly and you can use it for streaming and launching videos from apps on phones and tablets. It even works with a Desktop in Google Chrome.
There is no application which can be downloaded to use your phone as a remote control. The Mi Box comes with a lot of “Recommends of Xiaomi” and it ‘s hard to uninstall them.
The TV Box Remote recognized quickly a lot of English voice commands, which could be very handy. There is always a possibility to use a Bluetooth USB or Keyboard if you don’t like to tap all the time. The 4K movies (60FPS) runs fluid without any difficulties; I have an HDMI TV, so I don’t see a lot of difference. But other user reviews on the internet tell that the movie experience is excellent. With the use of Kodi Mediacenter, there is a possibility to view a lot of great modern films.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4k Conclusion
The Xiaomi Mi TV Box has a great design and is a complete top box. This Mi 4K Box is a great box to be used as a Multimedia center. It has a fabulous performance for a TV box and 4K movies are running smoothly. The remote control is somewhat to yammer about, but I prefer this one compared to all other remote controls I used.
A few apps can’t be installed on the Mi box, and it seems that there is no significant support from Google. This box contains only one USB 2.0 port and has no ethernet port. Unfortunately, there is just 8GB internal storage. But, it is possible to install Kodi Media Center and there is Google Cast capability as well.
If you want to play some movies through Kodi, regularly use Google Cast and want a handy remote control, you should certainly consider the Mi Box. Because the countless different versions and shops selling the product, click on the link below to check out the latest prices.
